In 2022 I was asked by the owner of a substantial collection of very special cars if I would manage the restoration of his beloved Esprit, utilizing my black book of contacts built up over the last 20 years I accepted and was instructed to make it 'as new' and make it more in keeping with the build quality the owner had with his other cars. 

The car was in very good condtion but the engine required some work, rather than just fix and make do the engine was removed and the world leading Esprit Engineering set about a full no expense spared engine rebuild along with turbos, new clutch and gearbox. 

The rolling body was sent to the excellent Steve Downs who fixed any imperfections and repainted the body and aligned the panels to a standard far higher than anything that ever left the factory. 

To protect this substantial investment and work once completed it was sent for a full body PPF. 

The Stereo system was upgraded with a Blaupunkt Bremen Head Unit, Morel Speakers and a Amplifier. 

New Pirelli P Zero Tyres....the list goes on and on. 

After huge financial expenditure and the time invested in the car, the car was completed and the owner now spends the majority of his time abroad and being right hand drive he wont use it at any of his overseas properties. 

Hence the decision to sell. Its only done 140 miles since the work was completed and those miles have been done by a mixture of Esprit Engineering as part of their road tests and myself driving it as part of shakedown testing

Despite the odometer showing 61k miles, this is an unique opportunity to purchase what now presents as a 'new' Esprit at a fraction of the cost of the work and cheaper than even any much used examples currently on the market.
